Friends of Henley Women's Regatta
We are very sorry but we are now fully booked for lunches and teas and also for the enclosure .
I hope to be able to welcome you to the 2010 regatta. Many old friends of the regatta will know me from the Sounvenir Stand as I ran this for many years. After a move to Ireland I have volunteered to organise the faciltites for our "Friends". Ever since the first Henley Women’s Regatta in 1988, we have depended on our "Friends'" support, as entry fees do not cover all the costs. So whether you are attending the event for the first time, or have been a regular spectator in the past, we hope to persuade you to become a "Friend of the Regatta". I hope that in 2010, I will be able to make your day at the regatta a more enjoyable one by welcoming you to the Chairman's Enclosure.
As a 'Friend' you will receive:
- A free car park pass for all three days of the regatta
- Two badges enabling you to enjoy the racing from the comfort of the Chairman’s enclosure
- A free race programme and updates
- Free tea and coffee available throughout each day
- The opportunity to take lunch and or tea in the Enclosure (charge payable and can be booked on-line. Reservations only)
Also - new for 2010:
- A voucher to enable you to purchase two tickets for the price of one to follow races from the Umpire's launch (provided that both tickets are booked at the same time).
- 'Friends' subscribing before Monday 14th June will be entered in a prize draw for one of two luxury hampers for 6 to 8 people which can either be taken at the regatta as a picnic or arrangments can be made to collect the hamper and take it away. Winners will be notified on Wednesday 16th June.
- A 10% discount on all items bought from 'Cook' in Henley during the week 14th-20th June 2010, upon production of the 'Friends of HWR' car sticker.
Taking 'Regatta Lunch or Tea' under the shade of one of our umbrellas is a lovely way to watch the high standard of racing at the regatta. Please note we unfortunately cannot allow private picnics in the enclosure. If you would like any more information then please contact me at enquiries@hwr.org.uk
