Perfect racing for an ice cream Sunday
Gorgeous sunshine opened up on Semi & Finals Day at Henley Womens Regatta, more flip flops than the previous day's wellies & waterproofs, although the gusty wind proved to be a bias on the poor Buckinghamshire-drawn crews throughout the morning, with wins going to those who had the stream advantage on the Berkshire side of the course.

Henley Women's Regatta launches another oarsome year
The qualifying races were held this morning for the Intermediate Fours, Intermediate Eights and Senior Eights, determining the order of racing for this afternoon. Unlike the Royal Regatta, Henley Women’s is raced under Amateur Rowing Association rules, treating all crews fairly in that they all row in a ‘qualifying’ race.
