A pleasant evening at the River & Rowing Museum to welcome the crews who travelled from all over the globe for the Regatta
Wine and nibbles were served on Friday night in the Schwarzenbach International Rowing Gallery at the River & Rowing Museum - the only museum in the world to celebrate the sport of rowing.
The Chief Executive of the Museum Paul Mainds told the gathered crowds about the different boats & displays that had raced all over the world, whilst the Chairman of HWR Diane Graham expressed her delight at the record number of competitors at HWR 2008.
Crews from the Netherlands, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Ireland and the USA were all taking a look at the exhibits, with the patron Lord Camoys in attendance to welcome the crews to the Museum, now its tenth year.
