Time Trial Instructions - Friday

Time trials are required for The PricewaterhouseCoopers Cup (Intermediate Academic Eights),The Challenge Cup (Intermediate Club Eights), The Cathy Cruickshank Trophy (Intermediate Academic Fours), The Lester Trophy (Intermediate Club Fours) and The Frank Harry Cup (Senior Fours). The fastest 32 crews in The Cathy Cruickshank Trophy and the fastest 16 crews in the The PricewaterhouseCoopers Cup, The Challenge Cup, Frank Harry Cup and The Lester Trophy will proceed to the side by side racing stage of the Regatta.

The time trials will be held over approximately 1,400m starting halfway along Temple Island and finishing at the normal Henley Women’s Regatta finish at Remenham Club. All crews entered in the events named above will be required to race on Friday morning 19th June 2009. Please see the end of this document for details fo time trils for saturday for J16 quads and Junior fours. Crews to qulaify are listed at the end .

Timetable:

08:30 - Academic 8s start boating

09.00 – Club 8s start boating

09:30 – Academic 8s time trial starts

09.50 – Club 8’s time trial starts

10.00 – Senior 4s start boating

10.20 – Academic 4s start boating

10:45 – Senior 4s time trial starts

11.05 – Academic 4s time trial starts

11.20 - Club 4s start boating

12:00 - Club 4s time trial starts

The successful crews will be published in alphabetical order after the race; no times will be given. A list of unsuccessful crews will be published, in finishing order.

IMPORTANT NOTE: ARA, SARA and WARA cards will be required for registration BEFORE the time trials.
Coxes must weigh-in at least 30 minutes before boating for the time trials.

Time Trial Instructions - Saturday

Time trials are required for The Groton School Challenge Cup (School/Junior Coxed fours) and the J16 Quadruple Sculls. The fastest 16 crews in each event will proceed to the side by side racing stage of the Regatta.

The time trials will be held over approximately 1,400m starting halfway along Temple Island and finishing at the normal Henley Women’s Regatta finish at Remenham Club. All crews entered in the events named above will be required to race on Saturday morning 20th June 2009.

 

Timetable:

07:30 – Sc/J Coxed 4s start boating

07.40 – J16 4x start boating

08:00 – Sc/J Coxed 4s time trial starts

08.15 – J16 4x time trial starts
